Reinette, our Facility Management company, celebrates World Food Safety Day
The first ever World Food Safety Day was held on the 7th of June 2019. This day was marked by the United Nations and it recognises that food safety has a critical role in assuring that food stays safe at every stage of the food chain, from production to harvest, processing, storage, distribution, all the way to preparation and consumption.
This year, the focus was on the 5 Keys to safer food which are to:
- Keep Clean
- Separate raw and cooked food
- Cook thoroughly
- Keep food at safe temperatures
- Use safe water and raw materials
At Reinette, the teams gathered to create awareness around these five keys by having talks, and engaged themselves to respect and adhere to them.
About Reinette:
Reinette is 100% owned by CIEL Agro & Properties Ltd and is a Facility Management company set up on 13 November 2017. The company, located within Wellkin Hospital premises, offers catering services primarily to Wellkin Hospital’s patients. The company also operates a cafeteria located at Wellkin Hospital which currently provides for Wellkin staff, patient’s family and the public in general.
