C-Care, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group, owning and operating the two main private healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely Clinique Darné and Wellkin Hospital. C-Care also owns and manages C-Care Clinic and C-Lab.


C-Care is currently looking for a Head of Human Resources for Wellkin Hospital.



Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and part of the Senior Leadership of Wellkin Hospital, the ideal candidate will effectively partner with the business leaders to devise a clear Human Resource and Culture strategy that are aligned with the Hospital corporate strategy.


What you will be doing:
  • Develop and implement effective HR policies related to Talent Management, Organizational Development, Employee Retention, Employee Engagement and Industrial Relations that will help to achieve organizational goals.
  • Constantly ensure that the structure of the organisation is adequate with regards to evolving business needs.
  • Develop engagement initiatives that will promote employee engagement and create a performance driven culture.
  • Analyse Key HR Metrics to understand the workforce dynamics and provide recommendations to the Senior Management for proper managerial decisions.
  • Manage the compensation unit and ensure alignment of compensation model to market trends whilst maintaining a sustainable staff cost.
  • Structure and lead the HR department to manage the daily operations by guiding and empowering the team members on all aspects of General human resources.
  • Act as a coach and counsellor to the Welkin Senior Leadership team to build and sustain their people capability.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, standards, and applicable legal aspects.
  • Ensure that all HR policies and initiatives are aligned with C-Care corporate HR strategy.


What are we looking for?
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or any other equivalent qualifications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Manager.
  • Sound and updated knowledge of HR trends and practices as well as Employment law.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent Emotional Quotient(EQ) and communications skills
  • Proactive and ability to work autonomously and under pressure in a fast paced environment.
