C-Care, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group, owning and operating the two main private healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely Clinique Darné and Wellkin Hospital. C-Care also owns and manages C-Care Clinic and C-Lab.
C-Care is currently looking for a Consultant - Radiology at Wellkin Hospital.
CONSULTANT - RADIOLOGY
Reporting to the Head - Medical Services, the selected candidate will specialize in diagnosing disease and injury using medical imaging techniques such as x-rays, fluoroscopy procedures, CT scan, mammography and ultrasound.
What you will be doing:
- Independently interpret the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), X-ray, mammography, fluoroscopy and ultrasound.
- Evaluate clinical history, review prior studies and conduct clinical examination (if needed) to advise on and select proper imaging technique to either confirm or exclude the presence or absence of diseases, lesions, malfunction or anomalies.
- Communicate and discuss noteworthy results and diagnoses to referring/treating physicians.
- Prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of the performed exams in a clear and concise manner.
- Independently perform basic minimally invasive interventional techniques with image guidance in sterile conditions.
- Recognize or treat complications during and after procedures.
- Liaise with the radiation safety officer for radiological safety.
- Instruct radiographers on imaging modality, protocols, imaging views and sequences to load.
- Oversee training of technicians and resident doctors in the department.
What are we looking for?
- Medical Degree and specialisation in Radiology
- Registered as Radiologist with the Medical Council
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
